Stories of peace and development in Afghanistan

You’re invited to a special event at the TEAR training centre. This night will be an opportunity for the TEAR VIC network to discuss how to live out Jesus’ call to be peacemakers in a broken world. We will hear from Dirk Frans – Executive Director of International Assistance Mission to Afghanistan – one of TEAR’s partners.

There will also be various workshops to engage more deeply with the issues presented. Discussions will look at the challenges of poverty and development in Afghanistan, understanding integral mission, and engaging in non-violent activism within Australia. Featuring other knowledgeable speakers like Simon Moyle (Public Engagement Co-ordinator at Urban Seed) and Pete Fitzgerald (TEAR Australia’s International Programs Co-ordinator).

When: Thursday 29 October, 7.00 – 9.30pm

Where: TEAR Training Centre (4 Solwood Lane, Blackburn, VIC)
