Get a taste for ethnically diverse culture and cuisine while living in our UNOH shared households! Experience firsthand the sights, sounds, smells of our communities in Springvale, Noble Park and Dandenong. Meet some amazing people from all over the world living right here in our neighbourhoods. Hear their stories of heartache and hope and learn responses to poverty and injustice in light of the Biblical mandate of Jesus. Want to make a difference in your community and take poverty personally? Then this is for you!!
The Mission Exposure Course is a nine day live-in experience. Participants will experience many of the initiates that UNOH are involved in within Melbourne and wrestle with the issues of poverty and injustice that are present within this city. The course focuses on practical action and learning, but also looks at the issues of poverty from a sociological and theological stand point. There will also be daily opportunities to debrief and reflect on what the Spirit is saying to individuals.
The course is generally open to over 18s but special exceptions can be made for younger participants on a case by case basis. Participants will be expected to make themselves available for the duration of the course.
