Jon and Lisa Owen from UNOH, share their story on infocus - about how they seek to make hope real, make hope tangible and help people find God in their neighbourhood.
The Owens talk about hospitality, who is my neighbour, fear, where would Jesus want us to be, finding stength in God, location, the gospels and Jesus’ consistent contact with people on the margins.
Jon comments that we’re raised to not see public housing estates, saying: ”When we really do time with Jesus and we see the places He goes and the places he moves into and we seek out His leading in our lives and His lordship, we see that there are these places and there are needs. And Jesus is saying I want to ask more and more of my follwoers to be there and not in the places of safety and comfort.”
