About

SURRENDER exists to raise up the next generation of Christian young people to live the radical call of Jesus amongst the margins.
Mission
SURRENDER’s primary purpose is to motivate young people to move from interest to action by becoming personally involved in expressions of Christ’s mission amongst the poor.
Additionally, SURRENDER affirms, encourages and inspires those already committed and involved in incarnational mission amongst the poor.
At the core of SURRENDER is the relationship with and involvement of the Indigenous Australian people of this land.
SURRENDER Method
SURRENDER ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The SURRENDER conference is unique in Australia as the largest gathering of its kind, focusing on social justice, radical discipleship and incarnational mission. The conference is hosted by a number of missional communities and organisations working amongst the poor, and run in relationship with Indigenous Australians. The Conference runs for three days with more than 1,200 people attending and consists of main sessions, Bible studies, workshops, music, conversations and great food.
SURRENDER TRUTH LABS
SURRENDER Truth Labs are one-off nights where young adults can research and discover what it means to follow Jesus in a hurting world. Truth Labs are about discovering an alternative to living for yourself, about making a real and lasting difference in a world desperate for good news!
‘JOURNEY TOWARDS SURRENDER’ ORIENTATION
Journey Toward SURRENDER is a short-term orientation course for young adults to explore with the message of SURRENDER: to live the radical call of Jesus amongst the margins. This is an invitation to young adults to commit a season of their lives to seeking God’s heart for the poor, to create space to discern their vocation and to explore God’s Kingdom work in their own context.
SURRENDER LEADERSHIP FORUMS & EVENTS
SURRENDER runs leadership forums and interactive training events for various groups within the sector, including youth and young adult leaders, community care workers, ministers and pastors. These events are opportunities to bring groups together to hear from significant practitioners and experts in their field about working amongst the poor and marginalised or equipping others to do likewise.
