Let’s Continue the Conversation…

Friday, January 27th, 2012

Thank-you to everyone who came to the SURRENDER Truth Labs with Shane Claiborne last week in Sydney and Melbourne. We had a great night in both cities and were inspired by Shane’s message to engage with the brokenness in our world. The challenge remains to be available to be interrupted by people on the margins and like the good Samaritan – to be present with people in their pain.

Thanks again to Aunty Jean and Tony Riches who shared about the history and the spiritual wellbeing of local Indigenous people. This was significant in reshaping our understanding of Australia Day/Invasion Day yesterday. There will be more information about this at SURRENDER:12.

These Truth Labs are just the beginning of the conversation on Word and Action in our neighbourhoods…SURRENDER:12 ‘Hope Speaks, Hope Acts’ is only 8 weeks away and we would love to see you there!Register online by 31 January for the Early Bird Price.
