Exposures Courses

TEAR Australia – Overseas Exposure Programs

TEAR Australia’s short-term exposure opportunities help Australians put a face to global poverty. You’ll meet people whose lives are a daily struggle for survival. Hear their stories. Share their journeys. Explore ways in which Christians are responding with compassion and justice, and expose yourself to a life-changing experience.

TEAR Australia runs two types of overseas exposure trips – DEEP (Development Education Experience Program – a three week trip held every January in various countries), and TWESO (Third World Exposure Study Opportunity – which runs for 7 weeks in India every second January/February). We also partner with the Youth Development Centre short term program (3-12 months in South Africa). Click here for more info. http://www.tear.org.au/projects/overseas-exposure-programs/

and seminar and enables students to engage more deeply
with some of the contemporary social issues arising from
life in the heart of Melbourne.

Urban Seed  - “The Den” Urban Classroom

“The Den”, an urban classroom and training centre at 116 Little Bourke Street, is an integral part of Urban Seed’s education activities. This space allows for schools to participate in seminars in the city and is also available for schools to hire for their own use. We can design interactive, creative sessions over a number of days to cater for school camps or retreats. Depending on the interests of your group, we can incorporate techniques such as interactive problem solving and reflection to explore the dilemmas surrounding the issues of the city.
