| Youth Nite Friday night at SURRENDER is always geared for the ‘yutes’ as Danny de Vito would say. Its tailor made for youth groups and individuals aged from 15-21 but of course we love to see anyone who’s young at heart! It’s only 10 bucks at the door or free of course if you’re already registered for the conference. SURRENDER Youth Nite 2010 promises to be more fun, more challenging and more inspiring than ever. You’ll get the honest low-down from a guy who lives in the trenches of urban poverty, Bart Campolo plus you’ll rock out with some great live music and much more. |
Slum Soccer & Laneway Cricket Our Founding Partner TEAR is back with Slum Survivor and great Slum sports for 2010. You can register for Slum Survivor online here. Once you’ve registered on the TEAR website, you’ll need to complete your SURRENDER registration online here, make sure you select Slum Survivor, and complete your payment. Slum Survivor is a simulation experience designed to help you get a taste of what life might be like in a slum, reflect on God’s concern for the poor and start thinking about how you can respond Slum Survivor is the most fun you can have without a bed … or food … or soap … or a sense of dignity. - Ryan, Slum Survivor participant |
De-brief arvos If you’ve come to SURRENDER as a part of a team, church or organization we’ve set aside some time to process and de-brief what you’ve been hearing and to talk through it’s implications for your own context – many of the de-brief groups will get to use a SURRENDER speaker to help facilitate their time. This will be a great way to start to work through the implications of what God will be saying to your team, church or group throughout SURRENDER. |

| S:11 Connect As a way to further connect and share at SURRENDER:10, we’ve put everyone into S:10 connect groups (participation is voluntary of course). Your connect group will meet up regularly to pray and share together throughout the weekend. It’ll be a great way to meet new people, process your thinking and support each other. |
Second Stage A great place to chill and hear great SURRENDER performers such as Jesse Mitchell, Mez Coleman, Levi McGrath and Paper Jane! |
Info Village Lots of our Partners and friends have great information about ways you can get involved directly, get further equipped and discern directions for life-long discipleship. Collect 8 stamps from random display stands and come and claim a gift at the main desk! |

| Soul Space Soul Space is just that… space for your soul. We’ve set up a dedicated area for contemplation and quiet during the weekend. You can also make a time to meet up with a spiritual director or counselor if you want to talk through any personal issues that have come up during the conference. All our counselors are accredited and are volunteers from the Baptist Union of Victoria. |
Kids stuff Our friends at TEAR will also be running great kids workshop times each morning from 9-12. This year we’ll be running the great new program, Kids 4 Kids: Lessons in Hope from Cambodia. If you’ve got high school age kids then the team from YFC will be running brilliant youth program sessions also on each morning of the conference. |
