Support a L’Arche Community
L’Arche’s mission is to make known the gifts of people with intellectual disabilities, revealed through mutually transforming relationships.
We aim to foster environments in community that respond to the changing needs of our members, whilst being faithful to the core values of our founding story. L’Arche engages in our diverse cultures, working together toward a more human society.
L’Arche supporters in Adelaide first met in 2013.
We were drawn together by a common vision of establishing community for people with and without intellectual disability. We became incorporated in 2015 and accorded project status by L’Arche International.
We had opened our first community home in January 2022. We value the support of St Francis of Assisi Anglican Church, Clarence Gardens and have mutually agreed to renting their rectory. Community gatherings are held regularly at St Francis; our community weekend occurs every January.
You’re welcome to attend gatherings, become a community supporter, or assist with tax deductible donations.
